Live a purposeful life

Live a purposeful life

To live a life which regularly consists of expressing your life purpose and allowing it to shape your imagination, your thoughts, feelings and actions is simply a whole lot more fulfilling. A life on purpose is filled with meaning, and people on purpose realise they are making a difference simply by being in the world.

Do you sometimes ask yourself this question "why the hell am I in this world"? Well I often ask myself and have come up with an immediate answer which is changing people’s lives through my writing as a result whatever I choose to do in the world to express my life purpose is like icing on the cake.

It is not only the people living a purposeful life who have life filled with a meaning. But even People living without purpose often have a life filled with meaning as well. Unfortunately, the meaning that has filled life often stems from fear and preoccupies them with the need to struggle and suffer. Remember, Suffering is optional in this world, and knowing your purpose is the key to making this important shift. Saying suffering is optional will most likely make people wonder how one chooses to suffer but if one looks at their life choices they will see that they indeed made made bad choices that led to their suffering.

A surprise.
Palesa's day is filled with joy and happiness as she wakes up to the text by her boyfriend Paul. She reads the message on her phone written as " Hey my flower as you know today is my birthday I decided to rather spend it with you at your place, see you later. I love you angel".Palesa's smile is like of someone who just got confirmed for a job interview. She concludes that is better she makes the day extraordinary. She prepares everything from candles ,flowers and food. The good smell on her room is so refreshing she deems the light bad enough to not see the person who could enter her door. She goes extra mile on everything that she prepares for her boyfriend that she referred him as "my one and only".

As she badly want the day to be so special she passionately wait  and stay naked on her room as she is not expecting anyone but her only boyfriend. She keeps calling him but his phone goes to voicemail. That doesn't worry her much as she knows that whenever his boyfriend promises to come he  always pitched. So she really have nothing to worry about.

Her room is decorated like it is a Valentine's day. R.Kelly song titled "Touch me baby" is the one playing on the background. She hears the knock that she was dying to hear. " oh here is him", she mumbles. She keeps him waiting at the door while she sprays her body with a perfume. "I'm coming", she shouts as she runs to the door to open up the door.

"Oh baby, I waited for you for hours now, I almost finished the wine. She has no reason to turn the light on with the long wait she had been put on. She start kissing him until she finds herself on her bad. She breath so heavily, she can't control it. She can't resist it. She needs it so badly. " oh give it all to me baby", she says with the voice that refuses to come out. The wine had loosen her up after. "Come, come , come Paul", she finds herself screaming so high.

Everyone is still sleeping until Palesa receives  a call from Paul's mom who can't hold it but crying so hard  on the phone from the word go.

" mom you are worrying me now what is wrong"? Palesa is worried sick now she really want to understand what is going on but the news seem to be delaying on her ears. She feels like Paul's mother is taking time because now she is made to be curious and worried about the news, just like a dog that is prepared food but yet to be unleashed to eat the food.

"He got involved in a car accident yesterday while he was coming to you", she explains  while continues to cry as her voice is nolonger coming out clear just like of the voice of a child who cried for long. " who are you talking about mom?" Palesa ask out of worry.
" Paul, he said he was coming to you last night to celebrate his birthday with you. Then this morning we received the news that he is badly injured and crippled at hospital", she says.
" No ways mom, check your facts right Paul is with me and who called you?", palesa asks as she is confused.
"The nurses called us using his phone since he can't even talk now, and what did you mean when you said he is with you there?" she asks

Confused Palesa quickly drops the phone and pull down the blanket to check her boyfriend. She is shocked to see the person she slept with and bad enough is not Paul..........

Marriage of lies

Synopsis by Meshack Mathe Bevhula.      MARRIAGE OF LIES
The story is to be directed to a book, movie and Radio Play.

The story talks about a man by the name of Rich Tshabalala who lived in the south of Johannesburg. Rich worked at a retail supermarket since he didn't go auxiliary with studies after passing grade 12. So it certainly left him with few varieties on the job market. He stayed with his younger brothers, sisters and parents in one RDP house that came into existence after the new democracy government in South Africa. Rich was the first born of his father and mother.

Rich fell in love with Pretty Malokane until he felt he was old enough to marry a wife while he continued to stay at his parent's house.  He didn't love her for real; the only intention that made Rich fall in love with Pretty was that she was at university so he assumed she would better his life for good as soon as she finished her studies. He later grasped that she wasn't studying her course yet but busy with upgrading her grade 12 results for acceptance in her hallucination course. He felt so thwarted and grassed because she didn't tell him all the details. She then dropped out as soon as she got pregnant and decided to raise the child who later been named Valencia.

Rich woke up in a good mood even though he wasn't feeling well physically, he went to an outreach church service where on thay night he had unceasing and unbearable pains on his manhood. As soon as Rich arrived the pastor was still preaching and it was about to be the time of praying for those who were sick. The pastor said to the audience there is someone here with us who have pains in his manhood; they are bewitching you as they don't want you to have children. Please come forward so that I pray for you". Rich knew that the pastor absorbed the message to him but he felt so mortified to go forward and receive prayers. He remained seated and ignore pastors message.

What was said at an outreach became true to Rich's life. By the time he met Pretty she was already pregnant for other man who refused to be with her. So as soon as Rich came to her life she felt so reassured and thought it was better that she don't tell him about her pregnancy. Rich never suspected anything as he started sleeping with her which led to her telling him about pregnancy which he accepted. And everybody at home was happy when the baby was born although it raised many rumours in the area since the child looked differently from anyone at Rich's family, the child  looked like a coloured but Rich made peace with it and had to live with it without worrying much about anything.

Rich thought it was best that he enriched his wife by taking her to computer school and to do drivers license so that it betters her chances of getting a job to assist him in supporting the family since he was the breadwinner. That of course happened as soon as she accomplished her computer studies. She also got a job at a retail industry and started to lose respect over Rich as she also cheated on him with the same man who was the father of her child. Rich was yet to go to the Doctor to check if he could produce or not as it frequently stressed him after the pastors message. One morning he came back early from work on a night shift duty only to find out that his wife wasn't home. He waited until she came back and he asked where she emanated from; she lied to him saying she slept at her friend's house without elaborating much. But Rich knew that observably she was cheating on him. He went on to ask for her friend's number to call and ask but her friend denied the claim as she didn't know anything. He forgave her and demanded her to be honest from there.

Rich later grasped that his wife was once again pregnant but still he wasn't pretty sure if he was the father or what because he felt like becoming aware of the truth would really hurt him. But he never realised that not knowing the truth will hurt him much more than knowing the truth. Her wife gave birth to a beautiful girl once more time named Phindile. Rich pondered who was making him such an idiot under his watch but he was still reluctant to challenge it. Rich started cheating with few women and he tried to have a baby but none of that ever blossomed. He never told his wife about everything that bothred him. but it had been eating him for years and that made him to despise any children because he couldn't give love to his kids and he felt so terrible about seeing his younger brothers having good relationships with their children

Many people started to question his anger to the children as they realised that he didn't love them. Rich was never at peace. He had started to visit his young brothers more often just to ignore the stress that came with staying with his wife as he knew that everything about his marriage was a lie. He forever regretted not talking about his undiscovered manhood problem with his wife as he unceasingly thought it was too late to deal with it as it then involved a lot of people on the process and he didn't want to embarrass anyone like that.

His wife never stopped seeing the man who gave her the kids until Rich discovered some of the clothes bought by that man and he asked her until she couldn't give valid claims that she was the one who bought them. Rich felt like it was too much to handle and he went to buy a gun and killed both his wife, the father of the children and himself.

END

Authors message
People have to covenant with their problems no matter how difficult it is to deal with them because committing suicide is not easy for those you are leaving in the world. So man up and face your problems because the the matter of fact is that all the problems that are following you are actually created by you and your actions. So if there is one person to fix them is you.

The plain truth is that you never know the pains you cause to your loved ones when you die just like an idiot who doesn't know how it feels to be around him

TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE

No matter how much you could try to deny it by your actions that you are not in charge of your own life, well the truth is that you will never run away from dictating your own life because is the role that has been awaiting you as you grow up. So when you run away from that responsibility is like neglecting all what you ever wished for.As some people are always in denial that they are in charge of their lives they often look for scapegoats to blame as a way of running from their circumstances.  You will never run away from your problems until you solve them because before that they will bother you until you dig your own grave.

I have so far seen many people who today have given their lives to drugs and alcohol abuse as a result of failing to take charge of their own lives. Neglecting a chance to take charge of your life is more like neglecting your body. Who will bath you if you don't? Who will wash your teeth if you don't? We all have our roles in this world which is to take care of ourselves and to lead each other to our desired destinations because without any of that there is nothing about our lives will ever be interesting or better. Let us be good enough to pave our own paths.

It takes a village to raise a child

It takes a village to raise a child

I was taught at a young age back then in rural areas that I didn't belong only to my family but the whole community. I was always told by elders of the village that I wasn’t only the child to my mom and dad. But I was actually the child of the village in spite of of being related or not. But this pattern seem to have changed and lost because now elders careless of what other children do. They just care about their children only. Are we now neglecting all what we believed in and what our elders believed in?

Another proven fact about this matter is the continuous rapes on children amongst our communities and brutally killings that we often witness within our communities. It might not be your biological child but if that child succeeds it is also benefit your community in many ways, even by reducing poverty. Teenagers are now intimacy with old people with the aim of getting money. And as a result this children end up dropping at school and be affected with HIV& AIDS. It should sadden everyone in the community to see teenagers neglecting their future because the future of the country depends on them. Let’s protect them.

Why do you care on what people say about you?

Why do we have to worry much about what people will say, mostly about our choices and actions? Do we owe other people explanations about our lives? Will these people be there for us when we face consequences for our choices that today we are considering their feelings and opinions when we are suppose to be doing life changing choices about our lives. People will never stop talking because they are born talking .

You do bad they talk and you do good they talk. Even people in high places who do good things for people never get good words from anyone because we are not all perfect. In all what you do people always want to find mistakes in you to talk about instead of looking on the positives. We are all destined to live our different paths in life so you don't have to do what you are expected to do by people because no matter how compliant you could be in their minds but they will still generate something bad to talk about in your actions. So do what you need to do in your own time because you are only the one to either enjoy the fruits or suffer the consequences of your choices.

What Have I Done - Novel

What have I done?

Chapter 1

Sipho was a very strong man, he was a gentlemen with big eyes and big nose with a strong voice which that made everyone be scared of him in the village. He was part of the community leadership. whenever he spoke everyone listened attentively as people were scared to be asked questions which they would later fail to answer. Whenever he spoke he liked to use English with that accent of white people as if he did English as a home language at school. His flow in English was like water in the river. He paid attention to details. He was always on point whenever he rose his hand to speak. He was so fond with leadership activities and politics. His body was covered of big muscles like those people we saw on movies. You would imagine yourself waking up to hospital for his punch. He was lion-hearted.

No one ever wanted to mess with Sipho. He was considered charming by most ladies of his age although he never had an eye for them. Whenever he passed by a group of ladies they would just whisper to each other " oh wow , oh look at him, oh look at his body let alone his eyes my friend". He was dark black yet so charming. He left more ladies frustrated as their feelings for him were all for nothing. He was the one providing for himself and his Sister at the age of 22 while his sister was 15 as they stayed alone in an RDP house that was built by the government after in 1996.

He was never seen with a woman in the village beside his younger sister which he was so protective of her. Zodwa was so beautiful and she was so fond with natural hair. She only wore skirts and dresses. Her strong character one would think she was a Christian but she never knew any door of any church. Zodwa was mostly moody around her peers , that made her friends to keep a distance from her as they couldn't bear her actions towards them. When she was happy she expected everyone to be happy and when she was angry she could just say anything without a consideration to what damage was her words creating around her friendships. At some point we thought her anger was from loosing parents at an early age. So we thought she felt good on unleashing that anger on people. And people kept hiding their feelings over it as they kept feeling pity for her of not having parents at an early age. But she was adamant that everything was well and that she didn't want any help from anyone.

Zodwa and her brother Sipho had no one but themselves as their parents left them at an early age in a car accident where they both died on the scene. Just like everywhere in black people's families at the funeral. Relatives will promise to keep an eye and a hand on those who lost their love ones. But after the funeral everyone takes his way. So they really had to survive. Lucky enough there were two back rooms which their parents expected rent money from the tenets. So that money kept them going. Zodwa didn't see much of her parents as she was still so young when their parents died. Zodwa and Sipho had everything they wanted when their parents were still alive. Their parents wanted nothing but to see their children successful and happy. The only thing wrong they did was to let Zodwa  and her brother sleep in the same room even when Sipho was old enough to know what was happening in his body. Sipho was 13 when and Zodwa 6 when their parents died. Zodwa didn't have much memories with her parents compare to Sipho. She only remembered going for shopping with her mom and their constant visit to her granny in Dakari Village.

No one in the village ever tried to mess with Zodwa or to propose her as they were very scared of her brother. With the way sipho was respected and feared, his younger sister Zodwa even got high marks that she didn't deserve at school. As teachers were very scared of him and what he could do to them for giving her low marks. That's how sipho loved his younger sister. One would think that their love was beyond.

Sipho was known to be alone in many occasions whenever his younger sister wasn't around. They had a bond which one would be so jealous of. Poor zodwa was never found in any group of ladies , she had no one beside her brother. People from the village started to suspect that something was fishy about their bond and of her brother being so over protective of her. Few months passed where we saw Zodwa being pregnant. To everyone's surprise we never heard of anyone being beaten up or stabbed for impregnating Zodwa.

She was several and curiously asked at school about who is the father of the child. But she never unleashed the truth to anyone. Later that year she gave birth, it was exactly Sipho, everything was pointing to him. The boy was named Olwethu. There were gossips all around the corners of the village. By the time there was no local newspapers I think if there was a local newspaper or a local journalist the story could have  circulated everywhere with the way that gossip was a talk in the village. Some even defended it and say " this is possible they are of the same blood". While others were not really seeing it in that way. By the time I remembered these words when they say " even if you could do things in the dark, they will always have a way of coming out.

Surprisingly we never saw Zodwa with a man and we never saw Sipho with a woman, a lot of questions were arising everyday but I doubt they ever went to the right ears because Sipho was feared by most of the people in the village. No one would be curious and brave enough to sign their death warrants. Few years passed on without the secret coming out. The little Olwethu as he grew up became exactly like Sipho and at times Sipho acted much of a father to Olwethu than like an uncle. He was mostly grooming the little Olwethu to be like him. At times we would see them walking together with a dog in the dusty streets of Helen Village heading to the mountain. And Zodwa never had a problem with that.

Olwethu was then at the age of 15 and Zodwa started to be sick, it was really serious to such an extent that she didn't want to die with the secret in her chest. She needed someone to talk to. That someone became her aunt Khayekazi who entertained all the gossips in the village.

When khayekazi found out about the long lasting secret, her chest was burning hot like a cool stove. She never wasted time in spreading the news. By the day she had found out of the news she had already told anyone. Everyone in the village was aware of the story. It even got to Sipho and Olwethu's ears. For the first time sipho wished to never see the sun. He was so scared to face the next day. That night became a sleepless night for Sipho. He was so embarrased to even go out.
